Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 BW


Joint two-day seminar-training, organized by the Kaliningrad city ambulance station within the limits of the project “Development of modern ambulance station based on the reconstruction of infrastructure, increase of medical assistance and experience in cross-border cooperation region” have been started on May 27th 2013 in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad region).

Personnel of two partner organization – Kaliningrad city ambulance station from the Russian side and Provincial Integrated Hospital in Elblag from Polish side – appeared as speakers and listeners simultaneously. The programme of event was both diverse and highly-topical. Participants listened to the presentations on following subjects – medical support of public events, order of medical treatment on the emergency sites on the basis of CYSTERNA 2013 manipulations, order of medical treatment in road traffic accidents with two or more injured. They also received 3-hour training with the use of Triage panels which are being applied as an aid in the diagnosis ofmyocardial infarction (injury). All topics became subjects for active discussion, participants of the event exchange experience boldly and willingly. Representatives of partner institutions, who are directly responsible for the implementation of the project, on the informal basis discussed plans for the future and corrected time limits for project activities. Results of participation in the seminar will definitely affect the quality of work of those medics who were present at the event. The improvement of personnel qualification in medical care on the pre-hospital stage is significant on the way of achieving objectives of the project.
